Sizzle is My Newest AKC Champion

Tuesday, March 12th, 2024

Today, I’m thrilled to celebrate the achievement of my newest akc champion, Sizzle! Her registered name, CH Cryslen’s Pop It Like It’s Hot ATT, now proudly boasts a well-deserved title. Thank you to the judges who recognized Sizzle’s beautiful breed type and sidegait including Claire Wisch Abraham, Rachal McKee Sager, Lonnie Carroll, and Marissa Clark.

Sizzle’s Journey to Victory ?

Sizzle’s triumphant journey to becoming a champion reached its pinnacle at the Maryland Sporting Dog Association on March 1, 2024. It was a day filled with excitement, anticipation after six months without entering any shows.

Three Majors, One Grand Finale ?

Sizzle’s journey was marked by significant milestones, with her latest victory serving as the grand finale. Over the summer, she secured not one but two 5-point majors with Best of Breed and Best of Opposite accolades from the classes in Doswell.

Maryland Sporting Dog Association: A Day to Remember ?

On that fateful day in Maryland, Sizzle exhibited excellence, securing her third major and officially clinching the title. Maryland Sporting Dog Association is my favorite show and where my first welshie, Sizzle’s great grandsire, Tucker earned his first major.

A Select Bitch toward a Grand Championship: The Encore ?

Sizzle’s journey didn’t end with her championship title. The following day at the supported entry, she continued to shine, earning Select Bitch for a 5-point major towards her grand championship.

Sizzle’s Journey: More to Come ?

Sizzle, CH Cryslen’s Pop It Like It’s Hot ATT, has a nice ring to it. As we celebrate Sizzle’s latest triumph, we also look forward to the next chapter of her journey. The grand championship awaits, and I am making breeding plans for Sizzle this fall.

Trü wins Best of Winners and Best Bred By Exhibitor at American Spaniel Club

Tuesday, January 17th, 2023

We traveled to Knoxville, TN in Mid-January for the American Spaniel Club Flushing Spaniel Show. Trü was awarded Winners Bitch, Best of Winners, and Best Bred By Exhibitor Welsh Springer Spaniel and earned a five point major towards her AKC Championship. She know has 14 points and four majors towards her championship so she only needs one single point to earn her AKC championship.

Penny finished her AKC Grand Championship

Tuesday, August 18th, 2015

PennRidge0814Mid-July at the Nita Nee and Chambersburg Area Kennel Clubs near State College, PA Penny won Best of Breed three of the four days of shows and finished her grand championship in very limited showing. She’s won six majors as a special and beaten other champions at five shows. Penny was also Best of Breed on Sunday at Skyline Kennel Club in June.   Penny will be taking a break from showing the remainder of 2015 while we concentrate on breeding Jasmine.

Thank you to Penny’s handler, Katie Shepard for all she has done to make Penny shine.

Penny won her first point this weekend!

Sunday, May 18th, 2014

Penny, Cryslen’s One Way or Another, the puppy we kept from Leeloo and Crockett’s August 2013 litter went to the Mattaponi Kennel Club shows in Manassas, VA this weekend. She won her first point on Sunday by going WB/BOS over two older bitches.  Penny turned nine months old on Saturday, the 17th. Penny was shown by Katie Shepard and Lexie Ditlow.

Jasmine completed her health testing

Thursday, November 7th, 2013

Jasmine, Mystic Acres Cryslen’s Kung Fu Princess went in to get her OFA thyroid panel, hip and elbow x-rays completed on October 3rd after turning two years old on October 2nd. Jasmine’s X-rays can be seen on her webpage by clicking here.

After waiting several weeks for results from OFA, we found out that Jasmine has Normal elbows and Good hips.  The lab that runs the thyroid panel also reported normal thyroid results to OFA. This completes all of Jasmine’s health testing, so she will now be issued a CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) number and she can be used in our breeding program after she has completed her AKC championship.

Jasmine and Katie at the Richmond dog shows

Thursday, July 11th, 2013

Phyllis Ensley Photography was at the Richmond shows in June and took some nice photos of Jasmine and her handler, Katie Shepard. Jasmine is 21 months old and is looking very mature. She got one point towards her championship at the Richmond shows and two points the next weekend in West Friendship, MD. We think Jasmine and Katie look great together and we are looking forward to seeing how they do in the next few weeks.

Jasmine wins another point!

Tuesday, July 2nd, 2013

Jasmine was shown in Richmond this past weekend and won another point towards her AKC championship. She will be shown in Maryland, Virginia and Pennsylvania throughout July and August and we are looking forward to seeing how she will do.
