The Welsh Springer Spaniel Club of America National Specialty took place in Gray Summit, MO in May. I was not able to go because my last litter of puppies was due around that time, but we did get some great news from the show.
Jagger, Cryslen’s The Hottest Ticket in Town DCAT CGC (from the November 2021 Fletcher x Poppy litter) won a large Performance Dog Sweepstakes class at the National and then went on to win Best in Performance Sweeps. This was the first national for Jagger’s owners, Warren and Linda Hall, so Linda was thrilled with this exciting win. I got to see it on Facebook Live. I couldn’t be happier for this first-time, owner-handler team. Thank you for sweeps judge Kit Goodrich, Rocksprings WSS.
This comes just two months after Linda and Jagger won their first AKC points – nine points (with both majors) in one weekend and 2 more points a couple weeks later under very well-respected judges. Thank you to judges Stephanie Hedgepath, Sidney Marx, Ann Yuhasz, and Will Alexander for all of Jagger’s AKC points this far.
I can’t wait to see what Jagger and Linda do this fall. Cheeky and I will meet up with them again at the supported entry in Doswell, VA.
